Do I need a lawyer?

Fraud offences are taken very seriously by the Court, particularly where there has been a breach of trust, such as by an employee or family member.

Depending on the type of fraud charge, you may have your case heard in the Magistrates Court or, for more serious offences, by a Judge in the County Court. That is why it is important to get legal advice early.

Am I going to jail?

This depends on the value of the fraud, whether there was a breach of trust, whether you have any relevant prior convictions and whether you have other mitigating factors to put to the Court.

If you think you might be at risk of going to jail, it is important that you obtain legal advice early. Get in touch to make an appointment.
